TEAM Petway

Petway Petcare has been a long-time supporter of the Pet Industry and we are always delighted to sponsor Industry events and Grooming competitions. We are now very proud to offer this support to talented individuals who are driven to improve their knowledge in their professional careers and we encourage their competition goals.

We are thrilled to introduce TEAM Petway. We have chosen four professional, award winning groomers who compete from Open level to representing Australia as part of the Australian Groom Team. Petway will support them in their businesses and assist them with future competitions.

These four dynamic team members are wonderful ambassadors of Petway Petcare and are very passionate about the Industry they work and compete in.

We are very excited to be teaming up with each of them. Look out for TEAM Petway at Brisbane Royal in August.

Mitchell Waygood

Shear Elegance Pet Styling
My name is Mitchell Waygood, IPG Certified and I have been grooming for 11 years and have owned my own salon for nearly 4 years.  I have been competing for 5 years now and I am a multi award winning pet stylist.  I am the first male to achieve a place on the Australian Groom Team.  I have competed internationally and I teach grooming seminars around the country.  I know my grooming and show products and shampoos very well and love the Petway range.  They have a product for every coat type and to give us professional groomers that special touch on our grooms.  I’m a Kerry Blue Terrier breed specialist and also show them. I became a groomer fresh out of my HSC when I was just looking for a job and decided I wanted to get into dog grooming.  I haven’t looked back since.

Jovy Lee

Touch of Pawfection
Hi, I am Jovy Lee and I started my training to become a qualified animal groomer in Malaysia in 2006.  I moved to Australia in 2014 and have continued my education and have completed my Cert IV in Companion Animal Service and also Pet Styling and am qualified as an International Master Groomer through IGC Australia.  I have competed in many grooming competitions and have placed many times.  My most recent award was Best in Group at Ausgroom in Perth and First Place for Poodle Open and Salon FreeStyle Open at Ausgroom in Sydney.  I love to work and compete in this fantastic industry.

Carissa Moffatt

Pawz and Relax Pet Spa
My name is Carissa Moffatt and I started my animal career as a Vet nurse when I was 15. I quickly discovered as much as I loved nursing I enjoyed the grooming side of things a whole lot more. I started grooming by doing a day course at TAFE and practicing on family and friends pets. When I was 19 I launched my mobile grooming business Groomin’ On The Go and slowly built my business whilst still working as a Vet nurse. 4 years later I decided I would prefer to be salon based so I built a custom designed grooming salon next to my home in Werrington County and started Pawz and Relax Pet Spa. Pawz and Relax is a relaxing pet grooming spa salon offering top quality grooming as well as relaxing spa treatments for dogs and cats.

In October 2014 I entered my first grooming competition in the Creative Grooming category turning my standard poodle “Sherbet” into the popular children’s character “Shaun the sheep”. I won my class as well as the people’s choice award. Later that year I decided to groom full time and I haven’t looked back since. I am currently studying for my Cert 4 in pet grooming.

Jolene Turnbull

Jolene’s Pet Styling

My name is Jolene Turnbull and I own Jolene’s Pet Styling and Professional Dog Grooming is my salon located in Narangba, North Brisbane. Grooming a small number of dogs a day enables me to cater to each client and provide specialised attention in a calm, relaxed and positive environment.

I began grooming almost 11 years ago in a salon located in Cairns, Far North Queensland. After 2 years there, I moved to Sydney where I worked and later managed another very busy and successful salon. Since entering my first grooming competition over 7 years ago, I have placed in almost every class I have entered and along the way, learnt many valuable skills and techniques. I was very lucky to have such a wonderful, supportive boss who encouraged me to compete in grooming competitions to better my grooming skills and also to just have fun whilst grooming!

I feel very privileged to be a part of a dynamic and exciting industry such as pet grooming. I’ve had the honour of meeting and working with many gorgeous dogs and their humans and I look forward meeting many more!
